Subsequently, all Dana Air flights were halted and the airline’s license was revoked by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA). In September 2012 their license was restored, but the airline only started flying regular routes again on 26 January 2014.

Since the 2012 accident, Dana Air has participated in various training initiatives to ensure that they are always prepared for IATA Operational Safety Audits. This initiative is funded by the International Airline Training Fund (IATF) and Dana Air is one of ten airlines to benefit from it. Dana Air constantly reiterates that it is determined to provide its passengers with the highest global aviation safety standards and has since earned the trust of many public flyers.
